Light Up Peterhead are having an event in the Town Centre and the Lido Area which will take place on Saturday 7th of December.

There will be entertainment, a reindeer parade, Santa’s Grotto and the Christmas tree will be switched on at 4pm. There will be a vehicle parade, entertainment and fireworks at the Lido. The Vehicle Parade starts at Dales Industrial Estate and continues through to the town out to the South Road. There is a rolling road closure and marshals will be directing the traffic. When the vehicles reach the South Road, they will stop for everyone to view them.

The Lido car park will be closed from 3pm and the South Road from 4pm till 6:30pm. Blue Badge parking is available at the Old South Road.

The fireworks display will be at 5:15pm at the Lido and will last approximately 15 minutes. The safety area will be taped off prior to the event and manned by marshals. Although the fireworks can be seen from around the town, there is a designated spectator area at the Lido.

There is first aid provision in at the entertainment space in the Lido car park. This is the lost children/vulnerable persons control point. People are asked to dress warmly, and we hope everyone enjoys the event.

There will also be a Christmas Producers Market taking place in Drummers Corner from 10am until 3pm with a vast array of local producers and crafters - perfect for Christmas Shopping!
